When I think of Mardi Gras, I think of the time I was in New Orleans for the wild Carnival celebrations. The parades were fun and I ran into the streets along with all the kids to collect candy being thrown from the floats. These same streets were packed at night with tourists, shoulder to shoulder, listening to jazz music while sipping pretty red rum-based drinks called Hurricanes.

In less than half an hour, you can put together an elegant appetizer for any holiday party. Yep, you guessed it! Those are honey bees.
There are nearly 8,000 bees in that 2 pound box! Careful though, don’t get too close! Nah, don’t worry I'm kidding, they won’t hurt you.
As a serious honey lover, I decided to try my hand at beekeeping about 3 years ago and fell in love with the hard working honey bee.
In Minnesota, most of our honey bees have to travel halfway across the country before they can make honey for us here in Minnesota. My honey bees came from California on a semi-truck in 2 or 3 pound boxes. E...
