I really enjoy my new French class this semester because it includes cooking. We meet at Bret’s Table once a week for a demonstration class where Bret prepares a French recipe for us. He describes it to us in English and then while he is cooking, our French teacher, John goes over the recipe in French. Each week we add some French cooking verbs to our vocabulary, like loucher (to ladle) and porter à ebullition (bring to a boil). Here is Bret in his kitchen....
