Valentine’s Day is on Sunday so it’s not too early to start baking those special cookies. I have a couple of favorites—ones I used to bake and send with son Jason to his Montessori preschool. I always called them "Heart Transplants" which I always thought was more clever than Valentine Rolled Cookies. Over the past holidays, I made my favorite gingerbread boy cookies and decorated some with candy hearts. Aren't these cute for Valentine’s Day too? What do you think? I can't find these thin, flat red-heart candies that I used to be able to order from the Sweet Celebrations catalog. Does anyone know where I can find them? They are not the cinnamon-flavored candies that melt when baked.
