Savory Meatloaf
You can make them with fillings, cheese stuffed, spicy and potato-topped. You can also make them in mini sizes so they bake faster. (Click here for lots of meatloaf recipes.) But, is there anything better and more comforting than the traditional meatloaf?
My daughter-in-law, Katie, has been out of town for a few days so Jack and I have been helping our son Jason with his sons, Blake and Finn. One night earlier this week, I made Savory Meatloaf and mashed potatoes for dinner. I formed the meatloaf the night before, and brought it to work with me the next morning in a cooler with blue ice. Then after work, I went directly over to Jason's house and put it in the oven at 4:30pm. While the meatloaf was baking, I peeled and boiled potatoes for mashed potatoes.

After dinner on a cold and rainy night, we went to a Halloween party at a local supermarket. Blake (in the Spiderman costurme) and Jack, are just opening the front door, after shuffling through all the leaves that came down during the last two days and nights.
