Here’s a way to have a quick and easy summer party—serve fruit fondue. All you need are platters of cut-up fresh fruit, pound cake (you can bake it or buy frozen pound cake) and a fondue sauce or two. You can keep the fondue warm in a 1 1/2-quart slow cooker.
We recently celebrated our technician, Kathy’s birthday with Milk Chocolate Fondue (we used dark chocolate chips instead of the milk chocolate chips) and Dulce de Lech Fondue (see recipe below). We served these fondues with fresh fruit, a scratch pound cake and Kristen’s homemade marshmallows. Kristen, found some paper umbrella picks for picking up the fruit which made our buffet look even more festive.

We turned down the lights and lit Kathy's cake with sparkly candles.

Here is Kristen with a plate of her homemade marshmallows.

I spooned some of both fondues onto my plate and picked up some fruit and a chunk of pound cake. And, of course, I went back for seconds.... and thirds!
