Hello everyone—my name is Monica Flatford and I’m so excited to have been named the winner of the Chex Party Mix Recipe Contest! My family loves buffalo wings, so when I heard about the contest I decided to bring that taste to life through a crunchy party mix recipe. I knew I had a winner when my family wouldn’t stop eating it! Thanks to all of the Chex Party Mix fans out there who voted for my recipe.
Without further ado, here it is—Buffalo Chex Mix.

2. Microwave uncovered on High 4 to 5 minutes, thoroughly stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool. Store in airtight container.
This week, I flew to Minneapolis to attend the Mix and Mingle event with author and entertaining expert Katie Lee where she announced me as the winner--It was so exciting! Joe Driscoll from General Mills presented me with my winner’s check.

After the announcement, Katie and I went to the Betty Crocker Kitchens where she signed a copy of her new book, The Comfort Table: Recipes for Everyday Occasions, for me. It has a lot of great recipes perfect for holiday entertaining.

Lastly, I had the chance to visit with other Chex Party Mix fans and help them create fun gifts using my Buffalo Chex Mix. The Betty Crocker Kitchens also had a gift option inspired by my recipe!

It was a great day at General Mills and I am honored to have been chosen as the winner by all of the fans. Thank you, everyone!
