Chocolate and Peanut Butter Treats
by AndiatBettyCrocker  5/7/2009 9:52:00 AM

Have you ever tasted those all-time favorite cereal treats called, Chex® Muddy Buddies? Maybe you know them as Puppy Chow. They are combination of any Chex® cereal coated with melted chocolate chips, peanut butter, butter and vanilla. Immediately after the cereal pieces are covered with the chocolate-peanut butter mixture, they are shaken in a bag filled with powdered sugar.  They are so good, once you start eating them it’s hard to stop.

There is now a cookie version of these yummy treats: Chocolate-Peanut Butter Cookie Treats.

In only 1 ½ hours, you can make three dozen of the best cookies you’ve ever tasted.  Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and bake them for 8 to 9 minutes.

Coat each cookie with the chocolate-peanut butter mixture and then shake them in a bag that is filled with powdered sugar. Here is how I set up assembly line in my kitchen.

My friend, Annie took a bite of one of these cookies and declared them a big hit!

I really don't have a comment since I'm new. But I do have a question that I have been looking for an answer for years. Mind you I don't cook or bake much any more. Please help with this; What is a replacement for sour cream??? I miss out of lots of goodies because I can't stomach sour cream. But I would love to try many dishes if I knew what to use instead. Thanx

granmato11, I found some possible substitutes for sour cream online but I haven't baked with any of them. Here are 3 of them: - 3/4 cup buttermilk + 3 to 5 tablespoons butter - 1 cup cottage cheese, blended until smooth - 1 cup plain yogurt
