We received thousands of entries this year, by the contest deadline date of February 15th, 2009. After reading every entry, our kitchen testers went to work, baking them for our taste panels that met three times a week for four weeks. Panel members (yes, I was one of the lucky panel members) tasted hundreds of recipes to choose our top 15 winners.
Here are Karen, Nancy and Maria, busy at work in our test kitchens, getting ready for a taste panel.
This is where you come in. You can vote online for a winner. To choose your winner, why not bake some of the recipes that look the most delicious to you? Or you could invite some friends over for a cookie-tasting party and ask each of them to bake the recipe that looks the best to them. Prepare some ballots and see which recipe is the winning recipe with your friends. If you have any leftovers, bring them to work and share them with your co-workers—they will appreciate the delicious cookies and you for bringing them in.
I plan to bake my favorite cookie recipe with Blake, who is always happy to bake cookies with me.
All fifteen finalists have already earned $500.00 plus 1,000 Box Tops. The top winner from this group of 15 will be awarded $5,000.00 plus 1,000 Box Tops. The Online Voters’ Choice will receive an extra $500.00 in cash. Winners will be announced in late April.
