Pastry Cloth

pastry cloth

A large, lightweight canvas cloth on which pastry dough can be rolled out. Rubbing flour into the cloth makes it an excellent nonstick surface for rolling pastry, as well as cookies. After use, the cloth must be cleaned; otherwise leftover doughs can become rancid and effect future foods rolled on the cloth.
