Sorry, but this recipe didn't work for me. By the time I came home from work, it was burned. There wasn't enough liquid. I would suggest adding some chicken stock or water, or don't cook it for 7 hours. That obviously was way too long with little liquid.

I tried out this recipe today. I did take the suggestion of adding taco seasoning to it. Besides that I added 1 1/2 cups of salsa about 1/4 cup of water, I used five skinless thighs instead of eight, and I ran out of black beans so I used red kidney beans instead. The chicken came out delicious! I shredded it and put it into tacos. My husband loved it. The only thing that was a little lacking was on the salt department, but that was easily remedied. I will definitely make it again!

This is my go-to dish on busy nights. I don't brown the chicken, I just throw everything in the crockpot and cook it all day. Before I serve it, I shred the chicken and mix everything together. I serve them in tortillas with some rice and a salad, everyone loves it!

I use 1 jar of salsa and 1 can of no salt added chopped tomatoes. I use 2 cans of beans and use and empty bean can full of frozen corn. I use 4-6 skinless chicken breasts because they are lower in fat. I serve this over whole wheat pasta with shredded no fat/low fat cheddar cheese, no fat/low fat sour cream, and jalapenos. This recipe freezes great. I also freeze pasta and cheese. When I want a quick meal it's ready to heat up.

What a great recipe this is! I normally do not like chicken thighs but by slow cooking them they are very moist and not too strong in taste. I serve this dish with sour cream and hot sauce. It's very delicious.

This meal is a wonderful addition to a busy weeknight. I shredded the chicken after it was cooked and served it in tortillas accompanied with rice and a tossed salad. My kids loved it. It is the perfect meal for busy families.

This turned out really dry when I made it. I came home after about 3 hours to check on it, and it was dried out and almost burned. I added a can of diced tomatoes with the liquid to it and it was better, but I really wasn't pleased with it overall. We love Mexican food, but this was just ok. I used 4 boneless chicken breasts instead of the thighs and so that might have been why it was so dry since dark meat is fattier. Anyway, I won't be making this again.

This recipe was good. I made some variations with it as per some of the suggestions in some of the ohter reviews. I shredded mine and made quesadillas. My kids loved it! Will make again and share with the recipe with the neighbors.

My husband loved the smell of this dish, but were not thrilled with the flavor. It was ok, but not something we would make again.

I used chicken breasts, taco seasoning when I browned the chicken (like another reviewer), frozen corn instead of canned corn, and used pinquinto beans, and I used slightly more salsa. It was great! I froze quite a lot to use in other recipes. Thanks!

I used pinto beans instead of black bean because my family likes them better. Slow Cooker salsa was a hit. I served it with rice and tortillas

I made this for dinner tonight and it couldnt have been easier! I followed some of the other suggestions and used chix breasts instead of thighs, added about 1C of salsa and rubbed the chix with taco seasoning before browning to give them some extra flavor. About 1 hr before serving, I shredded the chix in the crock pot and added some fresh mushrooms. Everything came out great and I served the chix wrapped up in flour tortillas with sour cream & cheese. Recipe is definitely a keeper!

This recipe was great! Super easy to put together and 7 hours later the chicken (I used breasts) was falling apart. My husband and I both loved it and it was great in tortillas. When I browned the chicken, I sprinkled it with fajita seasoning. I could have used more spice so I may add jalapenos next time. Definitely a keeper!

I hate to cook but LOVE this recipe! It's so easy and the leftovers reheat wonderfully! But, like previous reviews, I change things - lots more salsa and sour cream, and the cilantro is important. Also, I use any kind of chicken - white, dark, bone in, bone out, whatever. It's the slow cooker sealing in all the flavors that makes it so juicy and good!

I substituted 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts and doubled the salsa. My family thought it was terrific. It was easy, flavorful and low fat with the substitutions I made. It's cooking for dinner again tonight!

My husband and I both thought this was a little bland. We added more salsa and sour cream to it to make it more flavorful.

This recipee was pretty good, I personally LOVED it, however, my husband doesn't like black beans, and I would prefer white meat chicken, other than that, it was great!!!
