Comments: I took this cake you my church luncheon and it was enjoyed by all and everyone commented on how good it was and it was not hard at all. The mixing is quick, then layer the cake mix, nuts (I used pecans) and melted butter and bake. It was a big hit and a keeper in my recipe box. |

Comments: This was SUPER delicious & so easy to make!! A lady I work with was looking for something different to make for Thanksgiving. I took this to work (with the recipe) so she could try it before making it.
Everyone said it was very good ... especially with whipped topping on it! I will be making this again! |

Comments: I came across this from an e-mail from Betty Crocker.com. I was in the mood for something pumpkin and didn't want to go through the work of making a pie. I decided to give this a try. I'm so glad I did. It was better then I expected. Since it makes so much, I took half to my Sunday school class and everyone raved about it. Many want the recipe. The only thing I didn't have on hand was the evaporated milk. I used half and half instead. |

Comments: This baked up just like the picture and was very easy. However, the cake mix makes it taste very fake and sugary. I will not be making this one again. |

Comments: Made this last night in my new "As Seen On TV" bar pan (the one that has a removable bottom and evenly divides all the bars into same size - love the pan too!) I was out of pecans and used walnuts, but it was, in the words of my 5 year old granddaughter, "Dee-Lish!" Love it. |

Comments: All I can say is that this recipe is delicious!! My sister-in-law made it out of a church cookbook and it was better than pumpkin pie in my opinion. The cake mix almost makes it like a pumpkin pie coffee cake desert. You must try it!! |

Comments: I discovered this recipe at a potluck, everyone fell in love with it and it's been a family favorite ever since, and yes, that was 20 years ago...for those who don't like the pecans just leave them out, I don't even make pumpkin pie anymore! Everyone requests it...it's a real crowd pleaser. I promise you won't be disappointed. I will have to try the butter pecan cake mix, the tiny pecans probably won't be detected... |

That is what I now use and have given this lots of friends who aso use it. It is hard to find in California but now that we have Super Walmart we can get it. |

Comments: I recently took this recipe to a church function and everyone loved it. It is so easy and quick. You can make this using pumpkin pie mix just eliminate the sugar and spices. It tastes just as good. This is a keeper! |

Comments: I made this over the weekend on Halloween and it was a great success! It is such an easy recipe. I'm not sure why there were a few negative reviews...they must not have followed directions because I really don't see how you couldn't like this dessert! I loved the sweet/salty combo..I used salted butter and yummm it really brought out the nutty flavor of the pecans. I also used the spice cake mix. After I finished pouring the melted butter over the cake, I sprinkled some cinnamon sugar over the top.
It is delicious hot or cold...but i think my fave is cold because the topping is so crunchy! YUM!!
Will make this one again and again!! |

Comments: You seriously have to try this recipe. I first tried it about 8 years ago and it has been a holiday staple ever since. I'm not allowed to my Dad's on Thanksgiving without it! It's on the Christmas table and we even make it every year at our Pumpkin Carving party. It's easy and really, really yummy! I love it served warm with Vanilla Bean ice cream. OMG!!! |

Comments: Coming from the South, I've had the best pumpkin desserts anyone can ever imagine. THIS is the best I've ever put in my mouth! I want to shout to the world that this is the best dessert EVER!
AMEN!
I added 2 cups of pecans instead of 1 1/2. I love pecans! |

Comments: I am not much of a pumpkin lover and neither is my son, but I made this for my pumpkin-loving husband. It was delicious!!! My son loved it too, as well as my husband. It was extremely easy to make. In fact, I'm making it for a Christmas party we're attending soon. |

Comments: I have NEVER had a dish that absolutely everyone who has tasted it has asked for the receipe until I served this to my co-workers and family this year at Thanksgiving. I made 3 batches of this within 4 days !!! It's probably one of the most "perfect" desserts you could serve . . . easy and quick to make, not overwhelmingly sweet, transports and serves easily. You can't go wrong with this for those people who don't get enough variations on the pumpkin theme at this time of the year. |

Comments: Excellent recipe!!! I have made this recipe for the past two years at Thanksgiving, and it is a big hit. I have shared this recipe with many of my friends. In fact, they ask if I am making it, and if not they will. It is so rich, I cut them in much smaller pieces. I don't even make pumpkin pie anymore. |

Comments: I really love this recipe for its ease and because it's a lot like pumpkin pie. The only problem is there's no salt in the "pie" level and nothing you bake is ever quite perfect without that little boost that salt gives. Have you ever seen any cake or pie recipe without it? |

Comments: I made this for a Thanksgiving dessert and it was a great success. It's not a heavy cake that's heavy in the stomach. The cake has a pleasant after taste. I would only recommend that the nuts are mixed with sugar and butter then sprinkled on top. Enjoy! |
