Years ago I found a recipe for cake mix cookies in one of those checkout cookbooks. The book looked like it was from the 70s.I had tried a few cake mix cookie recipes but never tasted like the one I had found..The ingredients and amounts look very familiar so this is probably it or very close, plus the comments also look like it.Thanks!

Not the prettiest cookies, but the taste is outstanding! I used a butter cake mix instead of yellow (what I had in the cupboard!) and the buttery moistness makes it irresistable :) I needed a quick cookie for the holiday party, and you can never miss with chocolate chips... I also doubled the amount of chips in the cookie, that's what the cookie is all about!

I have been using this recipe for YEARS!...every since it was on the side of the box...and I love it. I don't add extra water because I don't want soft cake-like cookies, I like mine crisp. My latest variation was this year. I "discovered" Maple Extract and was casting about for some way to use it... Cookies.... Spice Cake Mix... Walnuts... Peanut Butter Chips and Maple Extract. My son said it was the best cookie I ever made.

Super easy. Though not my first choice when making cookies, these taste good and are great when you don't have a lot of time. P.S. I also added a little more liquid.

I loved this recipe! it was so quick - I used the French vanilla cake mix, so all I used was the stick of butter and 2 eggs and it was like a fluffy, more buttery sugar cookie. It went over very well with the "little" bro and his teenage friends. Can't wait to try different things with this one!

My kids and their friends loved these cookies. I made two batches. One was following this recipe and the other was adding carrot cake spices, chopped pecans and grated carrots. These were extremely popular with adults. They all thought it was a nice change. This is a great base recipe that has endless possibilities!!

These cookies are super easy to make. The cake mix does make them quite a bit sweeter than regular chocolate chip cookies though. If you're in a rush though, they work perfectly.

Well..... My husband loves them. I myself haven't tried them I have the 3rd sheet of cookies in the oven. I altered the recipe. I used chocolate cake mix and peanut butter chips. They are the moist cookie I have ever seen. Trust me I have seen cookies. TIP: you only need a little spoon of batter to make a good size cookie. I used about 2 table spoons of mix per cookie and I have GIANT cookies. I would most defiantly recommend this recipe it is great!

These cookies were a huge hit with my family.I,like others, used a chocolate cake mix and had to add a little bit of water to the dough but they turned out very soft and very yummy.I cooked them for 10 minutes like another person suggested. Great all around cookie!

I thought this was a very good cookie recipe. Definitely easy to make. My cookies were bigger and I cooked them for longer. My husband loves soft cookies, so these were right up his alley....he loved them. They were even soft the next day too. I will make this again!

We were first introduced to this cookie back in the mid-70's under the name "Big Fat Cookies" I found it in a Betty Crocker children's cookbook. I've now had the privilege of introducing it to my 5 yr old granddaughter and her pre kindergaren friends!! Cookies were a hit and everyone loves them. My son is almost 40 and still askes me to make them when he comes home!!! This is really become a "family recipe".

Wow!! This has great bang for the buck! It is super easy and super yummy. I'm sure there are better chocolate chip recipes out there, but I bet they take alot more ingredients and alot more time. I whip a batch of these up every Saturday and they are gone by Monday!
