Comments: I think that when making a "cajun" dish, esecially one with this few ingredients and its simplicity to make that one should not expect gourmet. I grew up in New Orleans, eating ad cooking spicy food. many premade seasonings tend to be salty, but that can be canceled by using a bit a butter.
As far as this meal, my family and I love Hamburger Helper, & with a dual working household comfort food tends to be fast food.
I'm just glad that I found a simple dish that reminded me of home, my son and husband enjoyed and I could put together with ingredients I always have on hand and get on the table before bedtime.
Use spices to taste... especially ones with lasting heat.If you dont know how to use it, less is more... even if the directions call for more. |

Comments: I had high hopes for this dish. It sounded SO good.
Unfortunately it was not. It was way too salty. Cajun seasoning is very salty (and HH is salty to begin with). It may have been better with other spices instead. I won't be making this one again. In fact, I was upset because I had to throw it away, because no one would eat the leftovers. |

Comments: This is a great, easy meal that really appealed to my 13 year old. (husband and I enjoyed it, too) If you have a spice rack it is easy to make your own seasoning (look online) and if no Hamburger Helper is in the house, try a boxed mac-n-cheese. |

Comments: A friend of mine made this a week or so ago.
Last night we took your recipe and twisted it a
little bit. The cajun seasoning was replaced
with Old El Paso taco seasoning mix, finished
ingredients put into Old El Paso stand 'n stuff
taco shells with Kraft four cheese mexican shredded cheese melted on top.
Either way you look a it both were tasty.
Thanks for the original recipe. |

Comments: I'm sorry, but this recipe just did not appeal to me or my family. We didn't care for the cajun seasoning with ground turkey. I threw away the leftovers (which were a lot!)and do NOT plan to make again. |
