I made this salad for our 4th July bar-b-que. It was very good and it easily served a crowd. I didn't put the chips in the salad because i didn't want them to be soggy. I just served them along side.

I made this salad for a July 4th picnic. Everyone loved it! It was a nice change from your typical tossed salad. I was worried that it would need dressing, but it was so tasty just the way it was. Instead of Doritos, I used blue corn tortilla chips.

Amazing. LOVED, loved this salad. It was a HUGE hit last night!! HUGE HIT! I will do one thing differently when I make this next time (which will be this week for another pot-luck). I will use plain tortilla chips instead of the Doritos. I did use a green leafy lettuce vs. Romaine (because I don’t like the Romaine heart). Very yummy!

this recipe looked good on the net but the pasta and chips thing just did not cut it. maybe remove pasta or chips but not both together.

To make it into a meal I added grilled chicken (steak a possiblity too) that was then tossed in taco seasoning.Instead of using the season packet that comes with the pasta, I tossed the plain pasta in cumin. As a dressing a used salsa mixed with ranch dressing.

Wouldn't this be great with some trout cooked on the grill? And some sweet tea!

The different levels of texture made this really fun to eat! We had our neighbors over for a little BBQ, and they loved it!

I really did not like this at all....and I like pretty much everything! It wasn't horrible by any means, but my husband and I both agreed it was "weird". I think with some tweaking it could be a lot better.

I brought this one to a party and it was a great change of pace from the usual 7 layer dip. Only problem was that it almost looked too good to eat.
