Comments: It would not stay upright. I used the boxed mix but put crusting buttercream in between the layers. I'm not sure if that was the problem or not. People on a cake site I belong to suggested a denser cake so I'll try it again that way. I really do love the design.
I ended up laying it down. It was for a Books 2 Eat project at the local library. I made it purple for Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse book by Kevin Henkes. |

Comments: This was a very easy cake to make for my daughter's 5th birthday tea party tomorrow. My only concern is that my cake is a little tippy so I hope that it doesn't fall over before the party begins. :) Directions were very clear. Would definitely recommend making this cake. |

Comments: After watching the video, I decided this would be great for my daughter. It was fun and easy to make. The hardest part was cutting and serving. Can't wait to try another! |

Comments: The cake is wonderful & a big hit! However, I would highly advise against putting any kind of fruit or cake filling in between the cake slices. It doesn't work no matter how little you want to put in there. |
