Excellent design! I made this for a friend's granddaughter's 11th birthday. I tend to do the cakes in my own way, just using the template. The changes I made were to do a double layer cake. It was a marble cake with chocolate filling. I used fruit roll ups as cuffs too and purple detaling around the edges. I agree, for some who aren't used to frosting cakes, it may help to freeze it before frosting. My suggestion is to use a crumbcoat of thinned out crusting buttercream frosting. It does take more time but it's worth it.

I had never made a cake like this before and was very nervous about trying it but my daughter wanted it for her 11th b-day party. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was and loved the video! It made me look like the coolest mom for the party! We did the entire 'Rock Diva' party and it was a HIT!

I made this cake for my daughter Alexia on her 9th birthday. I also got alittle creative and made a blouse to go with the jeans. All her friends said it was the coolest cake they had ever seen.

Made for my granddaughter's 12th birthday. She thought it was the coolest cake ever (her words). She can't wait to see what grandma comes up with for her 13th birthday. Thanks Betty Crocker for making me a cool grandma.

Perfect.. The only thing I would do differently is adapt the designing on the jeans for a little boy by omitting the flowers and stars and putting on perhaps more patches..

Even for a teenager. She really thought this was a cool ideal. With the flip flops to with it. So thank you for all the cool ideals.

I just made this cake for my daughter's 6th birthday. It was adorable. The hradest part was getting the legs cut even, but other than that it was very easy. It was a big hit.

I made this for my niece's birthday. It was fun making it and wondering how it would be received. She loved it! She thought the design was great and loved the decorations. I used a flower shaped candle laid on its side as a belt buckle and then when it came time to light it, I just stood it up and surprised everyone! This was my first time doing a shaped/decorated cake and I found the directions easy to follow. It took a little time to get the frosting/decorations "just right" but it was worth the effort!

I made this for a friend's daughter's 8th b/day. It was a BIG hit. I'd never attempted to cut a cake into any kind of design and was very pleased with my first effort. Can't wait to make again (and again) as the decoration ideas are only as endless at your imagination.

The cake is fun and looks great but not as easy to cook. Before you start the cake i would re read the instructions to first make sure you know what you are doing, because if you go step by step... :-( it won't come out as good.

I made this cake for my daughter's friend who was turning 5! It was a big hit. My daughter and I made her friend a pair of jeans to match the cake as her present. A must frosting tip is to freeze the cake prior to frosting.
