I was not patient enough - the filling was in the freezer for 30 minutes and still quite runny. The cake split apart because the filling went to the edge... it still got rave reviews from everyone; I served it with fudge ripple ice cream..

A suggestion for a short cut..I used Betty Crocker Chocolate Frosting for the filling and glaze! It was very good!

When my boys were little, I was very creative in the kitchen and loved to bake. They are both grown now and I no longer enjoy spending so much time in the kitchen. This cake is moist, delicious and quick with little clean up afterwards. The directions state to freeze 1/3 cup of the filling for 15 minutes until it's of pudding consistency. Be patient and leave it in the freezer longer if necessary. Don't be impatient, like I was!!

My entire family loved this cake. The only problem was that there was too much filling, so the cake sort of came apart in the middle. This is mostly MY fault - as I was not as careful as I should have been to keep the filling 1/2 inch away from the sides. Next time I will probably only use 1/2 the filling and then glaze each slice as I serve the cake.

This recipie was great! i made it for easter and it went over very well. i was reading other reviews and they stated that this cake was too heavy, i really think it was perfect just as the recipe called. the filling was outstanding although i wished i used all of the filling. i filled the cake and thought it was enough so i had left over chocolate, i should have put it all in.

It was a little thick/heavy for me. my family said it was ok, The next time I make this I will add one egg. This taste good with out the chcoolate frosting on top. All you need is a glass of milk.
