I use this recipe regularly. My family loves it! It's filling and tasty and great for a budget. I usually add diced green chilli's and chopped olives and sometimes petite diced tomatoes. I also double up on the meat.

I thought it tasted more like a filling. Maybe something you would put in a burrito wrap. I also sub. half of the tomato sauce for enchilada sauce and added greeen chilies to give it a little more flavor.

I also followed some suggestions of previous reviews. I doubled the burger and added a jar of salsa and a can of refried beans to it along with the taco seasoning. I topped it with 2 boxes of Jiffy cornbread mix and served it with shredded cheese, tomato, lettuce. amd sour cream. It was delicious!

I followed the suggestions of others and made this so much better! I added a can of tomatoes, green chilies and rinsed/drained black beans to the meat mixture along with a couple spoonfuls of salsa. I did the garlic powder/cheese/butter with the Bisquick but for me it didn't complement the dish. It was like eating Red Lobster biscuits with your Taco Bell. Strange. I'll defintely make it again with corn bread. Great meal idea!!

Believe it or not this is one of my childhood favorites! I have to make this at least once a month and have found it even better when I layer pepper jack cheese on top before I add the cornbread. Surely a must try!

I used a can of rotel (mostly drained) instead of tomato sauce. I only had frozen corn so I thawed it first. My family asked for seconds and dinner was very quiet since everyone was concentrating on eating. I put salsa on the table but it didn't need it. We didn't add any toppings but a salad would have been a nice side dish. The next time I will use chili spices instead of taco and try it with the cornbread topping.

This was soooo good! I followed another reviewer's recomendation to add chopped green chilies and southwest blend vegies to the meat mixture, as well as butter and garlic powder to the bisquick mixture. I did not add any cheese, but served them topped with shredded lettuce, chopped tomato and light sour cream. My boyfriend loved it so much, he jokingly said he'd have to marry me if I kept making dinners like this.

Family loved it. I did add 1 4 oz can chopped green chilies and used a frozen pkg of Southwest Blend vegetables (sweet corn, black beans, poblano peppers, roasted onions & red peppers) which was defrosted to the meat mixture. Then I added 1/4 teas garlic powder and 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese to the Bisquick before adding the wet ingredients. I also added 1/4 cup melted butter to the wet ingredients. Everyone loved the buttery, garlic Bisquick on top and were fighting for the pieces with the most Bisquick.

This was really great! A simple, tasteful dish!! I only wish I had remembered to put the cheese in the middle...oh well...I put some on top and melted it instead! VERY YUMMY!

I have liked Taco Bake from the first time I tried the recipe on a Bisquick box. I bake it and top it with all of the standard taco condiments. My Children and Grandchildren love it as much as regular tacos if not more. It is one of many, well loved Bisquick recipes I have used for years.

This was a big hit in my house!! I made a couple of modifications to try and make it more healthy. I used ground turkey, fiesta style corn (w/ red and green peppers), and instead of tomatoe sauce I used a can of chili style diced tomatoes. Also only used about 3/4 cup of cheese and mixed the bisquick with 1% milk. I served it with low fat sour cream. I will DEFINITELY be making this again!

This was a HUGE hit with my family, especially my kids. I did not have any taco seasoning but I used a can of seasoned chili beans and a can of tomatoes with green chilis. It was VERY good. I will surely make this again. My family LOVES mexican style food and htis sure hit the spot for them!

This was so good. I thought it might be soggy as leftovers but was just as delicious. I used ground turkey instead of beef and added 2 small zuchinis for extra veggies. I also used salsa instead of tomato sauce as suggested by others. Very, very good and easy. I plan to make again and again!
