Comments: Finally! I found the best Alfredo recipe and it's SO easy! Unfortunately, reheated leftovers aren't as spectacular--the sauce kind of separates. But, that's not too much of a problem at my house; there are seldom leftovers of this dish. |

Comments: I was very disappointed with this recipe. I followed the directions exactly and it turned out terrible. The cream and the butter separated. Maybe its because I used margarine instead of butter, I dont know. The recipe did say butter or margarine though. I wanted to impress my family with homemade alfredo and I tanked! Any suggestions on what I did wrong? |

Comments: One of the best recipes I've had for alfredo sauce. But I didn't have cream the other night but did have half and half, so used it. It was just as good as with cream(and less calories). It still had the really rich tasty sauce. Thanks |

Comments: I made this last night. When melting the butter I put 1 tablespoon of minced garlic in and then added the cream. It was a big hit. I do think you can cut down on the butter used. I will try 1/2 the amount next time. I also doubled the recipe and it turned out great. Might add grilled chicken next time.
The sauce itself will be a great base for many dishes. |

Comments: This was great! I was looking for an easy, homemade Alfredo sauce and came across this. I did use grated Parm from the dreaded plastic canister, as well as DiGiorno(sp?) Shredded Parm (that was harder to melt & blend in) as that was the easiest to purchase, and really had no problem. The BF loved it! I also use garlic salt, as well as garlic powder. This is definitely a keeper - I will be trying it next week w/grilled chicken and veggies. |

Comments: Great recipe! I recommend using white pepper instead of black (its a little milder and looks nicer with the cream sauce) and a dash of nutmeg for added depth. If I use this sauce with chicken, ziti and broccoli, I usually bake it in the oven for about 15 minutes at 350 to let the sauce combine better. |

Comments: I made this recipe the 1st time & realized there was too much butter, but it was a hit. The 2nd time I made it, it came out perfect! I used less butter & my parmesan cheese came from a local Italian deli. (It was actually cheaper than the cheese in the plastic container form your local grocer) It was amazing! It was very flavorful & thick & creamy. I originally got this recipe from the cookbook & it does say not to use fresh parm or the sauce will be too thin. |

Comments: Authentic tasting alfredo recipe! For alittle extra flavour, I suggest adding some garlic salt/powder and having diced tomato and onion to add to the top of each serving. Will make again. |

Comments: This is a fantastic recipe and so easy to make! I made it last night, one handed, while holding my month old nephew - doesn't get any easier than that. I do make a couple of changes to the recipe. First I leave out the salt, found it a little too salty for my palette when i first made it, and secondly, I like my alfredo sauce to be a little on the creamy side so I added about 3/4s cup of whipping cream instead of 1/2 cup. Tastes just like alfredo sauce that you'd find at a restaurant and takes 7 to 10 minutes to make. Add chicken, broccoli, and tomatoes and you've got yourself a meal :) |

Comments: I made this meal tonight for dinner (7/9/08) and my husband absolutely adored it. I doubled the recipe so I could have leftovers for his lunch but when preparing it, I only used 1/2 the butter it called for. I also added sauteed shrimp and scallops with garlic and onion and a little old bay. I used tried parsley for some color and served with garlic & herb fettuccine noodles. Freshly grated parmesean cheese makes all the difference in this recipe I think. Delicious! |

Comments: I added to this receipe and cheated a little. I took chicken breast(2-3) cooked and cut up up and fresh spinich (2 hand fulls)and added to this instead of making my own sauce I took 2 jars of Ragu Roasted Garlic Alferdo Sauce and mixed it all together and heated it. 2 of my kids hate Spinich but loved this. They ate 2 helpings!!! |

Comments: The fettucine was delicious. i never knew how easy it was to make my own sauce. I'll never use a bottle again! My boyfriend was surprised i was able to make something, from scratch, that tasted so well as i am not known for my culinary prowess. Thanks Betty Crocker.com. I'm so glad i decided to start looking up and saving recipes with you. |
