Delicious and so easy to make! I was able to whip this up in half an hour after work. I will definitely be making this cornbread again and again.

This was a terrific corn bread recipe. Very easy and delicious. The only change I made was I added a can of corn kernels to the batter prior to baking. The texture was nice and moist, not at all dry as some other reviewers experienced. I feel bad buying corn bread mix now because the "real" thing is now so easy to make! My family devoured it - including two picky preschoolers. Will end up being a staple in our house I suspect!

I'm not sure what I did wrong... I don't think I over-mixed it... Is that because I used lowfat milk??? The taste was OK but it came out too dry. It was so crumbly that we made quite a mess at the dinner table. I will try another recipe for cornbread.

I made this cornbread the other day. It was the first time I had made cornbread from scratch. I usually buy the packaged mix. Well, I will never buy the packaged mix again. This cornbread was so fluffy and delicious. Also, it was so easy to make. Great recipe!

This recipe makes an EXCELLENT Gluten free recipe as well. Instead of a cup of flour, use Pamela's Ultimate baking and pancake mix or the Kinnikinik brand of baking substitute. My whole family loves it and can't tell the difference! Also, use Vitamin D milk to give it extra fluffy, moist goodness. To avoid dry corn bread, treat them like brownies and don't over mix them. Just incorporate the ingredients. Skim makes it a little dry too, but still tasty. Enjoy!

This was perfect cornbread...moist, yummy, not too sweet. It disappeared quickly at a church dinner where it was in addition to home-made chili. It ended up as a dessert for those who wanted to take advantage of the yummy honey butter that was there as well. THIS is now MY cornbread recipe...nothing compares.

Awesome recipes! It's so hard to find sweet cornbread recipes. this one is definetly a favorite, and will be on my thanksgiving table every year. I added 1/2 a cup of no salt sweet corn in the recipe and it was delicious. My only advice is to use yellow corn meal if you want the bread to be yellow. I used white cornmeal and while it tasted delicious some of my guests were hestitant at first to try white cornbread. But overall this is a winner and took only a few minutes to make!

I printed this recipe and tried after searching for a cornbread that was like my mother use to make. I was so happy to have everyone say that it taste just like the old fashioned cornbread their Mother's use to make. I have even made this as minature loaves and everyone has enjoyed it and keeps asking for it. Maybe it should be called Mom's Old Fashioned Cornbread, easy to make and great tasting!!!

This recipe is exactly like the packaged mix that Betty Crocker sells in the store. I love the mix and wanted to make the same cornbread from scratch. When I saw this recipe, I knew it had to be the one. Every other cornbread recipe I've tried has been bland, with no sweetness. I like my cornbread sweet. This cornbread is so sweet, in fact, that you only need butter on top of it and it's heavenly. For those who don't like their cornbread quite so sweet, I'd maybe reduce the amount of sugar to 1/3 cup instead of 1/2. This will be my cornbread recipe from now on!

This is a recipe I have been using since I was in my 20s. It never fails and it always pleases. Lately I've been putting light tasting olive oil instead of butter or margerine and find that it tastes just as good and it's that much healthier. These muffins freeze very well, too. Great recipe!!!
