This was pretty good. Pre cook the noodles like everyone else was saying or it'll take a lot longer to cook. Another thing about Betty's recipes is that you can pretty much double any herbs or spices called for in most dishes, as they are kind of bland using the specified amounts.

I think you need to taste and add seosoning because it it is too bland but I have a very finicky eater about eating anything with meat in and she loved it. It was quick and simple to make.

I agree with the majority. This recipe was just ok. I didn't think it had that much flavor.

Super easy and super tasty. I cook the pasta separately and make it chunky with lots of veggies - one whole zucchini, about ½ C of carrots, one whole onion, and 4 cloves garlic. And I add some more spices - 1 T dried basil, 1 T dried parsley, 1 t. garlic powder. This recipe is a big hit!

This recipe was a little tricky for me. Well actually the tricky part was getting the noodles to cook completly. I (like everyone else) could not find the listed noodles so i used lasagna noodles broken into small pieces. They ended up takinga about 30 mins to completly get soft. I also had to add about 1/2 cup more water. All in all it was ok. My fiancee said it reminded him of the Stouffers Lasagna. I dont think I will be keeping this one in the recipe box.

This dish was OK. We thought it was a little dry and were hoping for a bit more flavor. Even added some extras like fresh garlic and red pepper flakes. Used fresh mushrooms which was nice for texture. Also couldn't find the suggested pasta so used rotini. If I make this again I would cook the pasta first. On the positive side it made a lot of food!

I have made this recipe many times. It is so easy and delicious. Very kid-friendly and best of all, it's all done in one skillet; you don't need to cook the pasta separately! Sometimes I use colby-jack cheese. I often brown several pounds of burger and then wrap up individually and freeze. All I have to do is defrost for two minutes and the meat is already done!

My family really liked this one. Easy to make and quick to the table. I couldn't find the pasta it called for and I should have used the egg noodles. I broke up lasagna noodles instead and they seemed to stick together. For the most part this one is a keeper. Great with garlic bread!

Wow, this one is so easy and is a delicious favorite in our house now! I used bowtie noodles because they're fun and easy to find. I like everything spicy and added a pinch of cayenne pepper too. Yum.

This is a definite do again! I liked the ease of everything in one pan.....my kids liked it and wanted more! I had to save some for my husband. The recipe was very simple and I liked the fact that in 30 minutes a decent dinner was on the table. I will try it again with different spices and meats. It has alot of versitility.

Fantastic and so easy to make! You definitely want to cook the noodles separately though. We couldn't find Mafalada noodles so we bought Campanelle noodles and they were great.

This is very good!!! I used Penne pasta (what I had on hand) and cooked it separately to eliminate the starch. I added more garlic because we like the garlic flavor. My husband declared it a "winner" and I will make it again!!

I couldn't find mafalda so I used large lasagne noodles and broke them up. I followed the recipe and the pasta didn't quite get done. I would recommend a 7 minute cook time and about a 12 minute simmer. The flavor was GREAT! We will definately make this again.

My family loves the very mention of "Italian". This was soooo good and easy to prepare. I added a little extra seasonings for flavor and added a can of Rotel tomatoes and green chiles (drained) because my family likes things "spicy". I will make this over and over and this recipe gives you the flexibility to try different meats and veggie combos to spice things up without changing the basic recipe! Bravo!

This is one of my all time favorites. I had a similar recipe and used both to make it. I didn't use as much green pepper, and I added onions sauteed with the hamburger. Also some minced garlic. I precooked my lasagna noodles about 5 minutes, this shortened the overall cooking time. It just takes too long using uncooked noodles. I've made this about 5 times now and love it.
