For such a cool looking cake, I was surprised how easy this was to make! We made it for my 4 year old daughter's "buggy" birthday and she was able to help make it. It turned out GREAT and everyone loved it. Would recommend this!!

I loved this idea. I made my own icing, but used the cake mix. I decided to make my cake into Eric Carle's "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," which is one of my son's favorite books. It turned out so wonderful. I used a frozen pie crust to cut out fruit shapes with holes in them to put around the caterpillar. I wish I could include a picture. I never would have thought of this without BC's inchworm idea. Thanks so much!

This is the first decorative cake I ever made and it was so easy. If I can make it anyone can. It was fun to make.

Really cute and VERY easy. Made "Inchy" for a Cub Scout cake auction. If a 9 year old can do it , you can too.

me and my best friend made this cake for my friend's brother's birthday and he was turning 18 and he still loved it!! its great for any age. it works beter if you chill the cake before frosting for about 30 minutes. what we did to make the inside of the cake more decorative was add drops of food dye to the batter while it was in the bundt cake pan (before baking it) and swirled it around with a toothpic. it lookd like blue swirls on the inside when we cut it! it was delicious and adorable and soo easy to make. i definitley reccomend it =]

This cake was fun to make and easy; my family loved it and I had no problems with it; I think letting it sit in the freezer before icing it help keep it standing up right. I have plans to make it again real soon.

When I made this cake, I made it just for fun. It's not that easy to frost and to get the "bumps" along the worm was pretty hard. It got a pretty good response from the kids!

I was really nervous about making this cake but I made three (one for Thanksgiving as practice and two for my twins' 1s birthday) and they ALL turned out perfect! Everyone was so impressed! Even if you don't cut the bottom perfect you can fill it in w/ frosting and it'll look great! A+

This really is easy, although I did have a little trouble with it sticking in the pan despite heavy grease. Very easy to decorate and even survived a car ride to the party spot. Only a slight tilt! (:

This recipe was so easy to do. I had never made a bunt cake before and was expecting the worst, but it turned out perfect. I made it for my daughter's pre-kinder class. They loved it!!!!

I made this cake for my son's 1st birthday. I always seem to have problems with bundt cake pans no matter how much I grease them. So the first cake didn't come out in one piece so I made another. Once I got the cake out in one piece, the rest was fun to make. It was easy and everyone loved it.

I made this cake for my granddaughter's third birthday. It was easy, it tastes very good and was very impressive to look at. But the best thing was the excitement from my granddaughter and her sister, age 5. They loved it and immediately launched into a discussion about who was going to eat which part.

Hi ladies, This recipe might seem easy as other ladies have suggested. The biggest problem I had was keeping the cake from breaking apart while standing up. My cake was not as curved either. Plus, the illustration looks simple to assemble - HOWEVER cutting the cake (for the head and tail) does not line up as it does in the illustration. My child was turning 5, so he didn't notice the mess this cake turned out to be. I pride myself in being a good cake deorator and NOT a novice. So for me, this was a HUGE disappointment. One other thing I thought I should mention if you do decide to go ahead with it anyway - use a really long piece of cardboard for it to sit on. I thought a 13 inch Tupperware cake taker would have been sufficient, but it hung off the edge. GOOD LUCK!!!

I made this cake for my 1 year old son's birthday. The frosting/decorating part took about 2 hours but I used a couple of colors for the sections. It was easy and a lot of fun to make! Mine seemed to tilt a little but I put a good layer of frosting for 'grass' down under it to help stablize it. The grocery store I go to (an Army commissary in Germany) didn't have any of the gumdrops so I used m&m's instead. I also used oreo's for eyes, little marshmallows and preztles the antenea.

I have made this cake twice and it is so easy! The second time I got a little more creative with the directions. Everyone thought I worked for hours on it, little did they know it took about 20 minutes to decorate. This is a very cute and easy cake.

I highly recomend this cake. I made it and it was just as easy as making a regular round cake. No trouble at all, i was actually really supprised. Everyone thought I was extremely talented. Little did they know how easy it really was.
