This cake was a hit at my son’s 2nd birthday party this weekend. It was very simply to make and a fantastic project for any little ones wanting to help decorate. I would recommend watching the quick video first as it was helpful to see it put together by someone else 1st.

I gave the actual recipe a 3 because of some difficulties. 1) What in the world were we to do with the 1/4 left over from the car loaf (the one you cut in 1/4's)? I decorated it as I did the others. 2)Recipe didn't specify how full to fill the pans. I filled mine 1/2 way for each loaf. I used the correct sized pans & followed instructions, but my loafs didn't raise to what the video showed (I used Betty Crocker Cake mix too) I loved the train idea. It was a little expensive to make but I don't regret making it.
