I've made this recipe for years. I add almonds for that extra crunch which everyone loves and sometimes I'll add water chestnuts. This recipe is so easy it's a no-brainer.

Great recipe, but I modified it a bit. I used a 2 Qt. pan instead of 1 1/2, (To the soup/green bean mix) I added a 6 oz. can of (chicken of the seas)chicken, 1/2 can of french fried onions, and 1/4 c. cheddar cheese. On top of the cassarole add 1/4 c. bacon bits, & 1/2 c. cheddar cheese sprinkled on top prior to baking, then add the other 1/2 can of fried onions on top during the last 5 minutes of baking.(WOW does this look incredible)Coming from someone that generally hates green beans this is wonderful & even beginners can make it look perfect!

This is the one best tried and true casserole on earth. I've eaten it since I was a child. My mother used to make it, and now I make it for my family. It's the only casserole that is both simple and delicious. I always double the recipe and add 2 tsp. of either Worcestershire or soy sauce, for added flavor. I use more fried onions than it calls for too, because I just love those. There are various "classic green bean casserole" recipes out there, but this particular one is, by far, my favorite.

This is THE most easiest recipe to do, and it is SO yummy! My mother-in-law has me do this every Thanksgiving, and it is a hit!

This is an all time favorite with my family and extended family or guest. I use cream or celery because of allergies to mushrooms, and prefer sliced green beans in stead of french. I some times add whole kernel corn. Holidays super large and the night before.

I like to spice this simple recipe up by mixing in some some finely chopped red onion, and a few strips of crumbled up bacon. Top it with a little shedded cheddar and the fried onions...It's great!!

I makeit every year for family, and they love it. I use cream of chicken instead of mushrooms and cheddar fried onions. The cheddar ones give it an extra kick.

My daughter makes this every time we go to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to see her and her family and we love it. I make it once in awhile at home for myself and my hubby. Sounds really good with either the Cream of Chicken or Celery Soup and might try that.

My husband and I love this dish.I make it all the time and make enough that we can just reheat and and eat it alone the next day as lunch or a snack. What makes it even better is I also put some of the fried onions inside the casserole with the muschroom soup and greenbeans then add some on top when its almost done so they can lightly brown. Its great with the onions inside also!
