"I just wanted to add, the memories you make today will go a long way and come back to bless you. One of my granddaughters ( Crystal- now 19) that I cooked and baked with, now calls me and asks how to fix or bake what ever it is she's wanting to fix"

"Bomar2, Check the crisco container to see if it says "whipped" or "creamed", if so, it may of had air whipped/creamed into it, which means your really getting less shortening. I usually mix shortening and yard 1/2 & 1/2. I also"

"Mumnsti, Welcome to the site . Do you have an electric roaster or maybe your church dose? If so, I'd put it in that and bake/cook it over night. The best way that I have found to warm it up, is to put a little broth/water in with it, wrap in foil"

Baking a cake in a 13 x 9 pan
"Hi monkeysons, The rule of thumb, is to only fill the pans 2/3 full. Ypou might want to raise the rack in your oven up 1 more notch and watch to see if it starts getting browner on the top. It should work O.K. Granna2"

"Hi cmomzingo-Kaufman,Tx, My only experince with freezeing pudding, is it seperated, . Wonder what they put in frozen cream pies to keep them from doing that? You can make your own crust, put it in the pie plates and freeze them, that might help. Granna2"

cornbread dressing
"CateC, I found your corn bread dressin recipe interesting. My D.H.'s family ( from Ky) made that a lot and they baked the corn bread just like usuall and then made the dressing useing it or left over corn bread. Personally I don't care for it"
