That’s a tough question! But I do have some suggestions. Eating steak at home IS cheaper than eating steak at a very fancy restaurant so you’re already saving money. When you do splurge on a more expensive cut of beef, consider the portion size. Instead of buying the huge pieces that are often found in the store, ask the butcher to cut a 4-ounce portion. Also, serve an appetizer, salad, and consider an extra side.
Another strategy is to buy a less expensive cut of meat and cook it wisely. What better way than to use a slow cooker! The slow cooker cooks slowly without your constant watching and produces a very tender meat.
