It is apple season and everywhere you look there are recipes and ideas for using the apple harvest. How about making these super pretty rolls that look like roses and use easy ingredients? No-brainer, right? Let’s get started!

First, you will need a roll of Pillsbury Crescent Recipe Creations Seamless Dough Sheet. Tip: If you are unable to find this product, you can always use a can of original crescents, you will just need to make sure you roll out the creases.

Next, grab three medium apples, wash and core them, then cut them into thin slices. You don’t want to peel these bad boys. The peel will help the apple stay together in our rolls.

Next, get some water, sugar and lemon juice boiling on the stovetop. Once it is good and bubbly, carefully add the apples slices and let them boil for about three minutes. You want them to be soft and pliable. Drain them on a paper towel ‘til just about dry.

While your apples are cooling, start rolling out your dough. The Recipe Creations dough sheets are so handy and oh-so easy to work with! Just roll it out a bit on a floured surface.

Then, sprinkle the surface of your dough with your cinnamon-sugar mixture.

With a pastry cutter (or a pizza cutter!) cut the dough into one-inch strips.

Then carefully lay your cooled apples, end to end, on each strip. Gently roll up each strip of dough.

Once it is rolled up, place each roll into a greased muffin tin.

Bake in a 400 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown. Cool on wire rack and enjoy! These pretty rolls are just as good at lunch as they are with a scoop of ice cream for dessert.
