The dessert cravings–we’ve all had them before. (If you are like me, you’ll have those cravings in one form or another every day.) But what happens when you want both brownies and cookies? You combine them, of course!

This recipe is super simple and combines a box of Betty Crocker® brownies with a package of Betty Crocker® cookie mix. You won’t believe how easy it is to put together. Plus, everyone will love it. When I made this pie for a family dinner, you should have seen the kids flock to it.

Slices can be served simply (no fork needed), or you can take it up a notch and pour caramel sauce over the top. (A scoop of ice cream would help to cut the richness.) Give it a try!

You start off with a boxed brownie mix and bag of cookie mix.

Prepare the brownie mix according to package directions, and then spread in a springform pan. Bake for 30 minutes; let sit for 10 minutes. PHOTO2BrownieCookiePie
Meanwhile, you’ll prepare the cookie mix according to package directions. Drop the dough onto the brownie layer in chunks. PHOTO3BrownieCookiePie
Using a spoon or your hands, gently press the dough out into an even layer, completely covering the brownie layer. PHOTO4BrownieCookiePie
Stick the pan back into the oven, and bake another 20 minutes. The cookie layer is not quite done at this point, but you don’t want the top to get too brown. So cover the top with foil and put it back into the oven for about 10 more minutes or until the cookie is set. PHOTO5BrownieCookiePie
Let the pie cool, and cut into slices. Drizzle with caramel sauce. BrownieCookiePie_final
