Like pumpkin pie? Then you’ll love these adorable two-bite Bourbon Pumpkin Pies.
If you ask anyone in my family, they’ll tell you that pumpkin pie and I are notorious old friends. It’s always been my number one for pies – the only pick at Thanksgiving. There’s just something about it that makes me so darn happy, so no winter holiday is complete without it. So, when I think holiday desserts, of course I gravitate to pumpkin pie. Apple pie is fine in the fall but pumpkin is where it’s at.
Still, as much as I love the traditional pie, a smaller bite-size version can be awesome too. Bourbon Pumpkin Pie Bites are an awesome alternative to traditional pumpkin pie.
They can be eaten in about two bites. The perfect pumpkin filling is laced with bourbon whiskey and a big hint of spices.
But why go small? Well, quite simply bite sized desserts rock. They are awesome for dessert tables and meet so many needs. Here’s how:
- For the sweets lover, it means being able to try several desserts without feeling guilty about it.
- For the sweets non-lover, it means they can have a taste without having to eat a lot (or draw attention to the fact that they don’t eat a lot).
- For the dieter, it’s a mini portion so they can easily indulge in moderation.
- For the children, it never feels like they’re being shorted.
