For the Salty Dogs, another idea is to use a pretzel roll as a bun.

This is to alecsandra, the hot dog buns you are talking about are made for New England only. I used to live in Boston, Massachusetts and loved those buns. When I came back to Missouri where I am originally from I found out who made them and called the company and they wont sell to anybody other than New Englanders, its only made for them. So I had someone from Massachusetts send me a couple pkgs, they are called Hot Dog Rolls.

Can someone tell me where to get those cool hot dog buns that look like bread? Like the ones in the Atlanta Dogs picture? All I can find around here are the regular buns that fall apart when you load them up.

@6corinne6- You could put crushed up salt and vinegar potato chips on them.
