Help with Brownies Needed

I've been asked to bring brownies to a potluck. I want my brownies to be so good that I'll bring home an empty pan. Can anybody help??

I always get rave reviews for my "Symphony" brownies.  Just use boxed brownie mix and mix according to directions on box.  Spread half of mixture in pan, cover with Hershey's Symphony candy bars, then spread remaining mix on top and bake.  Divine!

I have used several different brands of brownie mix.  I've also used the plain candy bars and the ones with almonds and toffee.  Oh my, so good.  So good that I buy the family size brownie mix for a 9x13 pan instead of a small box for an 8x8 pan. LOL

Sometimes I even put chocolate frosting on top after they cool.

Lonnie, try lowering the oven temperature 20-25 degrees.

It's super easy -- but I always go with canned frosting and sprinkles. Makes them extra special without extra work.

Make sure you are using a light colored pan or glass baking dish.  If you using glass lower the temperature.  I bake my brownies in a parchment paper lined pan.  Always remove them before the baking timer goes off they will carry over cook.

I like to use a simple chocolate ganache topping, glaze the brownies and top with mini chocolate chips or shavings.  I use the ulitmate fudge brownie mix.  They are very chocolatey!!!

You can also do butterfinger brownies, Bake the brownies and while warm poke holes in them and pour over caramel ice cream topping.  Let cool and top with cool-whip and crushed candy bars.  So yummy and gooey!

Both are heavenly.

I love to add the fun size York Peppermint Patties to my brownies! I used the boxed brownie mix and prepare as directed on box. I then line the bottom of the pan with the Yorks. Pour the brownie mix over and bake as directed. Around the holidays I'll add crushed candy canes on top when there is only 5-7 mins left.   Enjoy.

When I make brownies, I add cropped up marsaschino cherries and mini chocolate chips in the batter.  They're so sweet, you don't even need to frost them.

After making those fantastic brownies be sure to cut the brownies in smaller bite-size portions because people will be more inclined to take them if they are manageable and not percieved as messy.  Also the psycology of picking up a smaller portion encourage the guests to try them and probably come back for more!

I use a mix and substitute 1/2 the oil with Hershey's chocolate syrup, add lots of pecans and cook the suggested length of time.  They will be very gooey, chewy and you shouldn't have any extra to bring home.

Thats a great idea  nuts to you who stated ... "and you shouldn't have any extra to bring home". That may save your life some day NUTS TO YOU..

I make the brownies from the box, cook as directed-then put spoonfuls of marshmallow creme on top after you take the brownies out of the oven.  Easily spread the creme out on the brownies.  You can then take choc chips and place on top of the marshmallow creme and let melt.....yummy!!Yes

I have found a pan to bake in that creates incredible brownies that I purchased at Target.  The pan is wearever and is insulated 13X9.  I make 2 boxes of brownie mix by direction and pour 1 1/2 boxes in the insulated pan.  I add butterscotch, choc chips, white choc chips, and heath bits.  Then I have a small pan of brownies to keep at home with the rest of the mix.  I bake the insulated pan for about 40 minutes at 350 and they are very gooey.  I am asked by everyone I know to bring brownies to EVERY function.  I always run out quick.  I think the pan is the best ingredient.

Buy a pan from Target made by Wearever 13x9 insulated light silver in color about $12.00.  This will insure you always have perfect brownies or anything else you decide to bake in it.  It also comes with a storage lid.

I add miniature chocolate chips or 1/4 cup chocolate syrup  to the batter and then chocolate frosting is always a good topping, but lately the I put my brownies in a mini muffin pan and they seem to just disappear. IF you bake in the mini muffin pan decrease your time to about 15 minutes.
