How to freeze pumpkin

I would love to know how to freeze pumpkin. I have a couple of small, whole pumpkins and wanted to put them in the freezer for pumpkin pies all winter. Does anyone know how to freeze them and how long you can keep pumpkin in the freezer. Thanks, Gena

How to freeze pumpkin

Hello Gena,

I cut up my pumpkin and boiled it until done, then pureed it fine.  Measured enough for a pie  and put into container's and froze.  My pie's turned out great.  A lot easier to buy a can of pumpkin, but it was my first time trying it, and it worked great for me.

Good luck

Leila
