How long can cookie dough and baked cookies be stored in the freezer?

Hi All, I was just wondering if it is too early to bake cookies and put them in the freezer for Christmas.  Also, how long can I keep cookie dough in the freezer?  And one more question......Can you freeze fudge.....if so for how long?  Hugs, Paula

Cookies should keep for a month or so but the freezer does "suck" moisture out of things so your cookies may be a bit drier than normal.
Uncooked cookie dough I would guess could be frozen for a month or so.  I would roll into logs for a slice and bake type cookie.  Double wrap in plastic wrap.  I have seen tubs of cookie dough in the grocery freezer so you could portion dough into containers and freeze in smaller batches.
I would hold off on frosting any cookie until after it thaws and comes to room temperature.  The frosting may get sticky.

I would make the dough and roll into "logs" like the slice and bake type cookie.  Double wrap in plastic.
I have seen tubs of cookie dough in the grocery freezer so I know that it can be frozen in tubs. If you were to do this I would freeze in smaller portions to make thawing faster.
Pre made cookies would last a month or so in the freezer, just remember that the freezer seems to "suck" moisture out of things so your cookie may be drier.  Also if you frost wait until you thaw the cookie and it gets to room temperature.  I think the icing might get sticky.
