I am very disappointed to find out that Rice Oriental has been discontinued. It was the only Hambeger Helper product that I would buy. I will try this receipe to see if it is close. I wish that you would bring this product back.

This is understandable that there was lack of sales.  But, how could the product be purchased in stores if was hardly ever stocked there.  My husband and I bought online in bulk.  Is it possible to bring it back in bulk sales for those of us Rice Oriental Fans?  Rice Oriental was  a rarely found item on store shelves to begin with.  We found this item best to order in bulk online.  please advise.

The decision to discontinue my all-time favorite flavor of boxed dinners, Rice Oriental, is ruining my life.  My children will never know this incredible flavor.  I lie awake nights praying for its return.  PLEASE, bring it back.  I would be thrilled to buy in bulk directly from the company.  I know my extended family would agree.  This is a product that fell through the cracks.  If it failed, it was because of poor marketing.  It is delicious and easy to make.  Give me back my favorite hamburger helper, please!

i couldnt agree more with all of the posts here.  i wonder if the company even reads these posts??  i too have bought in bulk and would love to see this option return.  i also emailed the company directly.  i hope they listen and give us back our favorite hamburger helper meal!

I have to agree with all of the other posts here...  I was shocked and saddened to find out that my all time favorite Rice Oriental had been discontinued.  I understand that it was because of a lack of sales, but how can you sell something that isn't being stocked???  The stores where I live in Great Falls MT would get a very small amount in and within a day they would be gone.  That to me says that if more were stocked it would fly off the shelves.  That was one of the only flavors of Hamburger Helper I really enjoyed and I am just dumbfounded now that I can't have it.  I've tried to find it online in bulk, not in the stars.  I desperately want the return of Hamburger Helper.  Can't they do a trial run with more stock to see if they were wrong and that it will sell?  I am sure that it will.  If not that, sell it in small quantities online for those of us that absolutely are lost without it.

I am so glad I'm not the only one who is diappointeed that Rice Oriental- Hamburger Helper was discontinued. I am hoping that  the marketing department reads these, although I plan to send them an e-mail comment as well. Another good one was Chicken Jambalaya, which I have not been able to find either. I have not found any others that my family likes except for Chicken Fried Rice.

If you have this recipe you would mind sharing it with me?  I have two young boys that insist this is a favorite of theirs and upset they took it off the market.  I would like to fix it for them once again. 

As a college student, Hamburger Helper was a very big part of my apartments life (there are 3 of us). The only flavor I ever really enjoyed was Rice Oriental. After eating it so regularly I got sick of it and stopped purchasing it. Yesterday I found myself craving Rice Oriental, I went to three grocery stores without located it. Finally I googled it (it's what any college student would do!) only to find that it had been discontinued. I make one less customer now as I will not be buying any more Hamburger Helper! 

I could just as easily cook up a box of Mac & Cheese & add hamberger!  This HH has been a family favoite for years. I would add french style cut green beans & served it over chow mien noodles.

Here in Hawaii, our main choice of starch is rice, not potatoes or pasta.  This particular HH dish tasted so good, we'd make it for church picnics and family outings.  It was always the first dish to disappear off the table.  Please bring this special recipe back.  Anyone can make a mac and cheese with hamburger mixed into it.  But this recipe had something a little extra in it, and it's been very difficult to imitate that.  Maybe Betty can bring it back as a "Classic Favorites"- type of dish.

Rice Oriental was my favorite HH.  I have been looking for it for months now.  After going on-line today and seeing it is discontinued---I'm am very disappointed.

Several years ago there was another BC product we liked and those are now gone also.  They were called cooking sauces.  They came in a jar and there were 4 or 5 different flavors.  Our favorite was the pepper steak.  There was also chicken cacciatore.  These were fantastic sauces. 

It seems like they take the most popular items off the shelf...

What kind of sense does that make...???

I completely agree with everyone in regards to bringing back the Oriental flavor.  That has always been my favorite and my children's favorite and they are very picky eaters.  Please bring back this flavor because it truly was the best one. 

I am the mother of 6 hungry little mouths -not to mention my husband :) who LOVE rice oriental ! We used to have such a hard time finding it and only one grocery store around even carried it-we are in Florida.We ordered it from the grocery store by the case because when we would go to buy it-it would always be sold out.We all love it so much,it was one of our favorite foods.I have looked everywhere and now have found by coming to this site that its discontinued.We are not going to buy any other hamburger helper products-this one was the only really good one .It would always make the kids happy-they loved it.I cant believe that they didnt have enough sales-i think that not enough stores even carried it as compaired with the other kinds, so of course it didnt sell as well as the others.Please bring it back or tell us your recipie so we can make it ourselves-put it on this web site.We are all begging you!!!!!!This reminds me of when campbells stopped carrying my all time favorite soup from when I was a kid-meatball alphabet...Please bring back- at least available online-RICE ORIENTAL!!!!!

 I agree with everyone here.  My three kids grew up on Rice Oriental HH and I use to have to drive out of town to another grocery store to find it and would buy all they had to keep it on hand at home.  I was so disappointed when it was taken off the market.  My three children are adults now and still talk about it.  My grandchildren will never know how wonderful this meal was because it is gone.  You have to bring it back or at least bring it back on line so we can purchase it.  It was a phenomenal dish!  You could not get a better meal than this.  BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!

I grew up with Rice Oriental and we would buy out the shelves when this product was there. It is the BEST hamburger helper ever and the decision to take it off the shelves was the worst decision ever!! This one definately needs to be brought back. I do not think Hamburger Helper is worth buying if Rice Oriental is not on the shelves!!

Please bring product back it was the best hamburger helper flavor. I don't buy any other kind there are 8 of us and that was the only kind we would eat. It was really great. bring back rice oriental
