I would be so thankful to receive a recipe for the Date bar squares. My husband and I so enjoyed the mix that you now can't buy. I have often wondered why they stopped it.  My E-mail is ******************** thanks again!

Ok, my family for YEARS used the Betty Crocker Date Bar Mix for the base to make the traditional fruit cakes.  Since then, we have been fish out of water.  I have seen the BC recipe for date bars and will try.  But, considering that the ingredients were totally dry to add into the fruit cake recipe, what do I need to do do duplicate the actual dry mix?

Please respond to my email: *******************

Thanks again.... I have not been able to mek the recipe since you guys discontinued the wonderful product.

I am hoping that your email about the recipe is the one on this chat place.

I also miss the date bar mix along with my daughter and her son, it was so good and wish Betty
Crocker would bring it back.  Today my grandson is putting together my t.v. table and installing a new flat screen that the whole family got for hubby's 70th birthday.  I am attempting to make date bars for him, oh how I hope it is just about the same.

Please Betty Crocker reconsider your product of this and bring it back.

About the date bar recipe, I see there is more than one and not sure which one to use, is anyone out there tried all and declared one the closest to B.Crocker mix.  It was so easy and delicious,  I would buy boxes and boxes of it.I do know that it became expensive toward the end of production, but it was well worth it in the day of the prices of just one single bar or cookie at bakeries.  Just buying a couple bags of dates is close to $6.00 dollars.

Thank you so much!!!  My mom and I LOVED Betty Crocker Date Bars, and we have been searching for a recipe that actually tasted like the originals!  Smile

Any possibility Betty Crocker might resurrect the Date Bar Mix???  They were the best!!!

Is there any way... any way to find the original Date Nut Bar recipe?.. Is it in any old Betty Crocker cook books, or do you know of a recipe that is very close or similar to the delicious recipe? Its the ONLY thing my sister eats and Im trying to track it down and make it for Thanksgiving!

Please let me know.

Thank you!

Please bring them back!  Like abother person said on here, at least bring it back for holidays.  Then I could stock up for all year!  Often I hear a company discontinues a product because of low sales.  But when a product isn't given any shelf space it can't sell.  I see so many of the same things on shelves and large areas given to the same brand and type of products.  I'd rather see more variety.  For instance, just how many brownie mixes do we need?  I see the shelves flooded with them, and it's all basically the same.  So of course they sell more, cause that's ALL THERE IS to choose from.

I just want to add my request to bringing the Date Bar Mix back!  It could be modernized and marketed to the vegetarian and vegan community.  Better yet, make it organic and you could really increase your appeal and sell in upscale pricey venues.  But, even if you didn't make any changes, I would buy this product regularly.  Perhaps you could bring back the old standard AND do an organic version and give us the choice.  I really think you would be surprised at the response.  And thank you to the person that provided the ingredients from the box.  Using that and the recipes people have provided I might just try to duplicate the box recipe as others have said they will do.

I agree with you...even a holiday offering would be helpful. My grandma used to make a dessert out of the date bar mix that used Cool whip and nuts, where you just layered each ingredient in a dish.  It was always the first thing to disappear at special events.
