What's your first memory of Bisquick and what's your favorite way to use it?

My mom made dumplings all the time when we were growing up, probably because it was a dollar stretcher for the food budget. We loved the dumplings along with drop biscuits and pancakes she also made with little effort.

I spent the weekend with an aunt that everyone said couldn't cook.  Norma decided to make chicken and dumplings.  I helpped and they were the best dumplings ever.  I still make them the same way fifty years later.

my first memory of bisquick is learning to make "impossible" pies. i was young and thought i was very grown-up being able to make dinner.  i still use a lot of bisquick in my cooking.  i was happy to see te light version appear on the grocery shelves.  i use it for biscuits, shortcakes, pancakes and other recipes i've found on the internet.  i still make an occasional "impossible" pie occasionally.  i would be lost without bisquick in my pantry at home and in my vacation trailer where the biscuits are made over over an open fire.  thanks bisquick!!

It was Impossible Cheeseburger Pie. That was over 25 years ago and I still make it once in awhile when I'm short on time or ingredients. It's always perfect but somtimes I alter the recipe for different flavor.

Hi!  Can you give me a recipe for dumplings and drop biscuits?  Thanks!

My mom used Bisquick for practically everything, and we always got to "help"  There were six of us so she always bought the largest box available, we had muffins, coffee cake, pancakes...  Some of my earliest cooking memories were of using the pantry stool and getting the box down to bring to the table.

I am a social worker in senior housing and every month the residents have a breakfast.  My job is to bring the coffee cake.  I like the basic recipe and add fruit, coconut, mini chips.  The residents like it because it's not too sweet, and I change it up every month.

My first memory of Bisquick is having dinner with my now husband's family and his mother made Strawberry Shortcake using Bisquick.  It is the ONLY way we have strawberry shortcake!!  It's been 20 years and wouldn't dream of using the quickie pre-made dessert shells at the grocery store.

When I opened a day care in my home, I used Bisquick to make cinnamon rolls for the breakfast crew.  Children enjoyed the rolls.  They were delicious!  I baked them in my toaster oven and they qualified as bread for the food program.

Bisquick makes excellent pancakes, too.  I like mine thin, but it makes thick ones, too.  Light, fuffy and they soak up the warm syrup.

my mom took all the leftovers in our fridge, made a crust using bisquick and put in as much of the left overs as she could and made a huge pot pie...there were 9 of us kids so she really needed to stretch a dollar...i use bisquit bisquits with bananas and cinnimon..................yummy

My first memory of bisquick was my Mama's chicken and dumplings. I can still taste them and i'ts been probably 10-15 yrs. since I have tasted hers. My Sister makes them pretty close, and even my Daddy can come close, but they're not the exact same. I also remember Daddy's Sunday morning pancakes, Yum!!!

Nowadays I like to make the cheddar garlic biscuits or the cheeseburger pie and also the sausage balls, ummm now I'm hungry!!! Great question definitly a trip down memory lane. Thanks!!!

My fondest memory was making the coffee cake when I was a young girl.  The smell of the cake on a rainy day is heavenly.  I am so glad I was able to find the receipe on the website.

I'm 56 now but I still remember my mom using Bisquick to make strawberry shortcake.  We would have it once a week, on Saturdays, and I'll always remember the good feeling I got when we gathered round and ate the scrumptios dessert Mom would make!

Bisquick biscuits were also the first food I ever made as a child. All these years later, I still love them, drop-biscuit style, smothered in butter!

No wonder Red Lobsters biscuits are so good if they are made from Bisquick!

my mom made the best dumplings too.  i use bisquick in my potato pancakes.  by accident really, i ran outta flour and used it instead.  now they're the best i ever made.

I have found they key to fluffy dumplings is not to lift that lid , follow directions to the letter. I use a pot with a glass lid so I can look without lifting the lid!

When I was a young married woman, my friends and I used to have those "Impossible Pie" recipes floating around amongst each other and I especially liked the impossible coconut pie.  I would like to have the lemon icebox pie and the coconut pie recipes.  Thanks a bunch!   Nanna ErinYes

My mom made the drop biscuits too, but my favorite memory was when mom made coffee cake for a special occasion like a birthday or Christmas.  I grew up with Bisquick and now I am teaching my daughter some of the recipes.
