Cooking & Baking with Kids

From breakfast to dinner and lunchboxes to kid-friendly snacks. How do you keep it fun for kids in the kitchen?

cookbook for kids

I work in an elementary school after school program.   We have monthly clubs & in November, I will be part of the cooking club.  Is there anyway I could get a  free small cookbook for kids - about 15 to 20 copies?

Thanks so much for your help.

Check with your local hospital or Health Department.  Talk to a dietition and see if they have any that they can give.  You might even want to find out if they can have one come talk to the kids and discuss healthy eating.  If the health department or hospital can not do this check with a local health club like the YMCA or local park district.
Then I think it would be fun for the kids to make their own cook books.  Have tehm get recipes they like and help convert them to healthy recipes.

Hi poult1, Check with your local County Extension Office. They aren't free but the childrens cook books on this site by Gold Medal are really nice. Maybe each child could buy there own? Or you could buy one of each (there is two of them) and then share the recipes and ideals. Lots of luck,:-)
