Happy Turkey Day!

Since my Dad and Helen were doing their own thing with Helen’s family for Thanksgiving, they invited me, my sisters and their families over for a pre-Thanksgiving get together. Once again, decorating cookies and cupcakes was a pre-dinner activity. This recipe--with yellow instead of devil's food cake--was used as inspiration for the cupcakes).

Here’s Greta hard at work creating her masterpiece. Most of Greta’s frosting winds up in her mouth, but I try to look the other way (that’s what aunts are for, right?).

Here’s what Helen did with the rest of the cake batter:

I don’t know about you, but I get a cavity just looking at that picture.
