I’ve been hearing and reading a lot about Victory gardens these days. Times are tough and it makes a lot of sense to grow your own vegetables, fruits and herbs. According to Wickipedia:

I read a news story yesterday about children and vegetables that was fascinating. My first business—which offered cooking lessons for kids—was called Picky Eaters, so I was regularly invited by groups to give talks about how to get finicky kids to eat a wider variety of foods. Parents were always seeking hints and tricks to get children to try vegetables, specifically.

In the season of resolutions, lots of people resolve to stop doing things—stop smoking, stop eating deep fried foods, stop spending money. Ceasing a behavior can be very difficult to do, let alone turn it into a regular habit. This year I am resolving to add rather than take away; I am resolving to add more fruits and vegetables and to try to find innovative ways to do so.
