The Challenge: Pantry-Only Recipes
by CateC_BettyCrocker_MOD 10/31/2009 12:01:00 PM

Okay, I admit it. I am in love with those 10 for $10 deals at the supermarket. I’ve found myself saying on more than one occasion, “I’m sure I’ll need 10 cans of olives sometime or another.”I used to think my family was unnecessarily strategic for having such a well-stocked pantry (Who can think ahead like that?)…until I moved to college and realized the benefits. Since then, I’ve followed in my family’s footsteps and prided myself on having enough food for when I’m feeling creative in the kitchen. When ...

Shopping for Diabetes--Top 10 Foods
by CheriAtBettyCrocker 7/2/2009 1:25:00 PM

When first diagnosed with diabetes, where do you start?  Overwhelming, I know. Healthy Cooking from your Pantry
by CheriAtBettyCrocker 2/2/2009 3:32:00 PM

I recently taught a series of healthy cooking classes to employees.  A favorite topic was "Cooking from Your Pantry".  The idea is that if you keep your pantry well-stocked, including refrigerator and freezer, you'll be able to whip up recipes in minutes, plus these pantry recipes can be served in a variety of ways.  This in itself can be a real time-saver, can possibly be part of a dinner for another night.  I'm always looking for those short-cuts. Ranch Fried Chicken, using reduced-fat ranch dressing and Progresso...
