Hmongtown Marketplace: The Place To Go For Fresh Asian Fruit
by AndiatBettyCrocker  10/28/2009 3:08:00 PM

The Hmongtown Marketplace is a unique market, right in the heart of St. Paul (only a few block away from the Minnesota State capitol building). I just  discovered this market last week even though it was started in 2004.

More than 200 Hmong vendors operate year round indoor and outdoor at this market, offering a variety of products and services including Hmong-made clothes, hand soap, purses, dishes, CDs and fresh produce.

Here are some of the fresh fruits available at the market last week:
Jujubes
Longans

Persimmons

Have you tasted any of these fruits? Have cooked any of them?

Click here for a good review about what you can find to eat at the market.
