Figs with Blue Cheese and Honey
by AndiatBettyCrocker  10/2/2008 4:29:00 AM

We invited our wine group (eight of us in all) to the cabin last weekend. On Friday night, we carried some appetizers down to our pontoon boat, and then ejnoyed eating them while we let the boat drift in the middle of the lake. We really lucked out with the weather—it was in the high 70s and sunny when our guests arrived.

Bev and Gary made a couple of delicious and quick-to-make appetizers.

Here is their recipe for:

Figs with Blue Cheese and Honey

1 package fresh figs
Blue Cheese
Sea Salt
Honey
Whole Walnuts

Wash figs, cut off stem and cut each fig in half.
Stuff each fig with ½ teaspoon blue cheese.
Sprinkle with sea salt.
Drizzle honey over figs.
Top with a walnut half.
Drizzle with more honey if desired.

I've never eaten a fig, but it certainly sounds good to me.
