I'm sure people wonder what really goes on in the Betty Crocker Kitchens. Well, it varies from day to day. Today the Yoplait marketing team prepared recipes developed in the Betty Crocker Kitchens using Yoplait large-size yogurt. (32 ounces of yogurt). It was great learning all the foods that can be made with plain, vanilla, peach and strawberry yogurt--everything from appetizers, (Ginger Caramel and Yogurt Dip with Apples) to main dishes (Crescent Samosas), to side dishes, (Cajun Sweet Potato Fries with Yogurt Dipping Sauce), breads (Cranberry-Orange Scones) and desserts. (think Chocolate Souffle' Cakes). Even better was tasting and sharing all these fantastic treats.
Everyone was surprised at how easily the recipes went together, even a couple of people who claim they never cook. They all did really well! Our favorites were the Samosas, Mini Greek Meat Loaves with Tzatziki Sauce, Iced Molasses Cookies and Chocolate Souffle' Cakes. Lina and I posed together in my kitchen with the Souffle' Cakes. (they are like Molten Chocolate Cakes, only better because they are much lower in fat--try them!)

And, see how proud Priscilla is of the Creamy Fruit Salad she made and shared with us.

One of my favorite things to share with others is the wealth of healthier recipes on the Yoplait web site. Knowing where to look is half the battle in this quest for eating healthier and locating the resources to help you is a special find. It just makes you feel so good knowing you are making foods that look and taste great, yet have fewer calories and less fat.
