Apple Crisp Recipes

Fall is a beautiful time of the year in MInneapolis and to prove it, this is the view from our test kitchens last week.
Speaking of the test kitchens, we recently had an apple tasting and sampled eight different apples a member of our staff brought in. One of them was a relatively new (introduced in 2009) hybrid brand, named SweeTango®. The Sweetango apple (a cross between a Honey Crisp and Zestar) was bred at the University of MInnesota to be sweet and tart at the same time. These large, pretty apples are crisp and juicy too.
