When I tasted Tiki Masala Cheddar Cheese in April, I knew it would become a favorite cheese of mine. Made by Cabot Creamery Cooperative in Vermont, it comes as an 8-oz. bar of Cheddar cheese, coated with Indian spices. Think about it! Do you love cheese? And what about Indian food? I love them both and fortunately for me, I can get them in one delicious bar of cheese.

Cabot cheeses are just starting to be sold in Minnesota and so I organized a cheese tasting for our staff in the Betty Crocker Kitchens.

We tasted Cheddar cheeses that were aged 10, 14, 16 and 24 months. They were all delicious but most of us really liked the one aged for 24 months. It was a little dryer and firmer than the others and had a nice, slightly salty, rich flavor.

Cabot's award-winning, reduced-fat cheeses were great tasting too and they tasted and looked like their full-fat counterparts.

We also tasted some flavored cheeses including: Sundried Tomato Basil, Chipotle, Tuscan, Chili Lime and, of course, the Tiki Masala hand-rubbed Cheddar cheese.

You can order these cheeses at the Cabot website or find them in supermarkets in many states across the U.S. Have you tasted any of these flavored cheeses? What is your favorite cheese?
