This star-shapped cookie was created by Chef, Wolfgang Puck for an Academy Awards dinner. I made his Chocolate Shortbread “Hollywood Stars” recipe, in February and decided it would fun to serve on July 4th too. These rich and chocolaty cookies are sandwiched together with a creamy Mascarpone cheese filling. When stored in the refrigerator (which they must be because of the cheese filling) they hold up well and taste great, even after a week. I have a nested set of star-shaped cookie cutters and used the 2-inch one. For more festive holiday recipes, click here, on July 4th recipes.
