I was thrilled to receive a free recipe booklet with a bottle of Champagne I purchased for New Year’s Eve. One of the many recipes in it was for a Korbel (Champagne) Cosmopolitan.

Jack made some of these pretty drinks for us one weekend when we were entertaining friends at our cabin.

Here are some of the gals, enjoying a sip of the "bubbly".

It’s a perfect beverage to serve before a Valentine’s dinner……or after it. Or perhaps.... with it?

Champagne Cosmopolitan
1 to 2 tablespoons orange liquor, chilled
¼ cup Champagne, chilled
¼ cup cranberry juice, chilled
Splash lime juice, chilled
Pour ingredients into a champagne glass in the order listed above. If desired, garnish with an orange or lime twist.
Yield: 1 beverage
Here's a Warm Cinnamon Orange Cider beverage that's also fun for Valentine's day because the cinnamon flavor comes from melted red cinnamon candies.
